The lotus flower symbolizes what Guided Growth, LLC is all about. Each day, the lotus flower rises up from the muddy water and emerges perfectly intact and as beautiful as ever. This is due to a protective coating on the flower petals that repel the mud and water from infiltrating the flower and wreaking havoc. Like that protective coating, I guide my clients to persevere through life's challenges to emerge each day with the best version of themselves.

Understanding how and why people think and feel the way they do has always been something I devote myself to, in addition to helping others live happier lives. I have spent 10+ years studying human relationships, mental illness, and mental wellness while empowering women to make positive changes in their lives, discover who they are, and achieve their goals. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development, and a Master of Science in Psychology degrees from Arizona State University to further my wealth of knowledge in these areas. 

 

In 2016, I was in a car accident which resulted in a brain injury, insomnia, posttraumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, chronic pain from neck injuries, and many other complications. My physical, mental, and social health were all at the lowest point they had ever been, and it remained that way for 5 long years. That is, until I invested in my health and incorporated the techniques I learned through years of research. That's when I finally got my life back!

 

As a result of that experience, my specialties include, but are not limited to, working with women who are trying to improve their health and wellness but are also dealing with mental health conditions, brain injury, and chronic ailments. My education and experiences allow me to better connect with women in these circumstances because I know what it's like to even just survive, let alone thrive, when your brain and body seem to be working against you. I've been there, and so have many of my clients who have learned how to successfully cope/manage symptoms, find and maintain stability again, create clear action plans, and find their purpose in life. It can get better, and I can help!
